MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Question's Government's Delays in Tehsil Office Creation: 2018 Order Yet to Be Implemented

Sheikh Khursheed questions the administration on the non-implementation of Government Order No. 42-Rev(s) of 2018, demanding answers on Tehsildar postings in multiple locations.
Jammu & Kashmir – The government is under scrutiny for failing to implement its own directive regarding the creation of Tehsil offices, as highlighted in a recent question raised by Sheikh Khursheed. The issue pertains to Government Order No. 42-Rev(s) of 2018, which mandated the posting of Tehsildars in Qalamabad, Vilgam, Singhpora, Narwav, Bhella, and Ramsu.

Despite the order being in place for nearly six years, the promised administrative infrastructure remains incomplete, raising concerns among residents and local representatives. Khursheed demanded an official explanation for the delay and a clear timeline for implementation.

The matter now rests with the Minister Incharge Revenue, who is expected to provide justifications and a roadmap for the fulfillment of the 2018 order. The lack of action on such a crucial governance issue has fueled frustrations among affected communities, who have been awaiting functional Tehsil offices for years.

This development adds to the growing list of governance lapses in the region, where bureaucratic inertia continues to hinder public services. The public now waits for a concrete response from the administration regarding the long-pending implementation of this critical decision.
