Two Persons held with Charas At Banihal.

A police party headed by SHO Banihal inspector Nayeem intercepted two pedestrians who on seeing the police tried to flee from the naka at banihal. During the process of checking of said accused 80 gms of  Charas was recovered from their possession. 

The accused on their arrest disclosed their identities as: 1)Manzoor Ahmed matoo    S/O  Gulm Hassan matoo R/O  Dooligam tehsil Banihal and (2) Asif Ahmed shiekh S/O Abdul Rashid shiekh R/O Dooligam tehsil Banihal dist. Ramban. In this connection, a case FIR No. 74/2021  U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Banihal and investigation taken up.

It is pertinent to mention here that two days earlier also  Banihal Police.

Army man shoots himself dead in J-K's Banihal.

The incident took place at the Army transit camp in Banihal area around 2 am.

Banihal, Apr 27 (KNO): An Army man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Banihal area of Ramban district on Tuesday.

A police officer told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an Army man identified as Asangeppa Madar aged around 28, son of Parasappa of Layadagundi Bagalkot of Karnataka shot himself with his service rifle at R-Center Camp Banihal.

Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards him and found him in a pool of blood, the official said, adding that he was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

He said a case has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been started—(KNO).

The incident took place at the Army transit camp in Banihal area around 2 am, they said.

GRP Banihal Apprehended One Person Along With 20 Bottles Of Illict Liquor.

GRP BANIHAL APPREHENDED ONE PERSON ALONG WITH 20 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR. 

Banihal.

Today on 25-04-2021 police team of GRP Banihal during checking and frisking at main gate Railway station Banihal apprehended one person namely Mohd shafiq S/o Fateh Mohd R/o Maharwali, Bandi ,manjakote teh Manjakote District Rajouri and recovered 20 bottles of Old Adventure Rum of 750/750 ML each from his possession.  On questiong the above said person have not produce any legal permission regarding the quantity of liquor which he was carrying towards kashmir. On this case Fir No. 1/2021 U/S 48(a) Excise Act registered against the accused person.  The above said person arrested by Inspector Ajay kumar Engotra SHO GRP Banihal under the close supervision of Sh. Riaz Ahmed sdpo GRP  Anantnag  and under the overall supervision of Dr. Harmeet singh Mehta , Jkps , SSP Railway kashmir.
